Motorized shade planning in Newton & Greater Boston
Morning light when you want it. Privacy when you need it. We help you plan motorized window treatments around the room, the fabric and the way you want to control them.
Start with the window
Privacy and glare come first.
A bedroom, a street-facing living room and a sunny home office need different treatments. We help organize a window schedule and priorities for a shade specialist to measure and quote accurately.
- Roller and blackout shade goals
- Curtain and drapery options
- Privacy and daylight preferences
- Screen glare and furniture layout
Power and control
Choose the approach before ordering.
Battery-powered and wired motors have different maintenance and construction implications. We record the desired controls, platform compatibility and power questions; the selected supplier and installer verify dimensions, mounting and electrical requirements.
- Battery access and charging expectations
- Wired power planning for renovations
- Individual and grouped controls
- Manual and app operation preferences
Part of the home
Let shades share the routine.
A compatible system can coordinate scheduled shade positions with lighting and comfort preferences. We consider sun exposure and privacy together, without assuming every window should open at the same time.
- Morning and evening concepts
- Lighting-scene integration
- Climate coordination questions
- A staged room-by-room plan
Questions before booking
Can existing blinds be motorized?
Sometimes, but the construction and available motor kits matter. A shade supplier needs to verify the actual product; a replacement may be more practical.
Does planning include measuring and installation?
Our package covers the technology concept and requirements. Final measurement, fabrication, mounting and any wiring are separately contracted with the appropriate providers.
